Route starts in Christchurch, then up towards Rangiora, Tram road to Geraldine / Fairly/Queenstown. Then a short stretch by boat followed by remote and quiet gravel road. From Te Anau to Milford is a very scenic section. Then bus to Wanaka. From Wanaka to Haast and the (WET!) west coast. Then back over Arthur's pass to Christchurch. This route will give you 3 - 4 weeks of fun!
